  • ¼ cup cornstarch
  • ¼ teaspoon fine sea salt
  • 5 cups whole milk
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter

    Cup of Yum
  1. In a medium saucepan, whisk together sugar, cocoa powder, cornstarch and salt.
  2. Add two cups of milk, and whisk until combined.
  3. Turn the heat to medium-low and whisk until the mixture begins to thicken and steam.
  4. Slowly add the remaining milk, stirring constantly until the mixture reaches a boil.
