Ingredients

  • 12 oz cranberries, fresh or frozen
  • 3/4 c pure apple cider
  • 1/3 c pure maple syrup (or honey for a sweeter and lighter flavor)
  • 1 orange, zested
  • Pinch nutmeg

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Rinse the cranberries, if they are fresh and place them in a medium saucepan.
  2. Add the remaining ingredients and mix to combine.
  3. Bring the mixture to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer, uncovered, 10 minutes, stirring often, until the mixture has thickened slightly.
  4. Remove the sauce from the heat and allow it to cool completely before serving. The sauce will continue to thicken as it cools.
