Ingredients

  • 3 cups vanilla ice cream softened
  • 6 Oreo cookies crushed

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Allow the ice cream to soften at room temperature until it just begins to melt.
  2. Place ice cream into a blender.
  3. Blend until the ice cream becomes liquefied.
  4. Add half of the crushed Oreo cookies and pulse once or twice.
  5. Pour the blended ice cream into a glass.
  6. Sprinkle the remaining cookie crumbs on the top of the Blizzard.

Notes

  • The key to an authentic DQ Blizzard texture is not overblending the mix-ins. You want visible pieces of cookies throughout, not completely pulverized. Also, never add milk to your homemade Blizzard—this will make it too thin and ruin the signature thickness that allows the original to be turned upside down.
