Homemade Fenugreek Seed Tea
Homemade Fenugreek Seed Tea blends fenugreek seeds and tea leaves simmered in water to create a warm, mildly spiced beverage. After simmering and steeping, the tea is strained and optionally sweetened with sugar or honey. The result is a fragrant tea with herbaceous undertones from fenugreek and traditional tea flavors, served hot.
Ingredients
- 5 cups water
- 1 Tablespoons fenugreek seeds
- 2 Teaspoons tea leaves
- sugar optional, or honey to sweeten
Instructions
- Heat up a small pan with water and allow the water to cook.
- Add the fenugreek seeds and tea leaves.
- Simmer for about 3 minutes.
- Remove from the heat and let the fenugreek seeds and tea leaves sit in the hot water for 5 minutes.
- Strain the tea into a cup, discard the plant parts.
- Sweeten with sugar or honey if you like, and serve hot.
