Notes

  • How to make this dip in advance: Blend the cream cheese, sweetened condensed milk, vanilla and almond extracts together using a hand mixer. Transfer to an airtight container and store in the fridge. Before serving, let the dip come to room temperature and stir in the sprinkles.
  • There are so many sprinkles on the market out there. We’ve had the best luck with cylindrical-shaped sprinkles, which are also known as jimmies. They hold their shape, and their colors typically don’t run. (However, they will run if you make this in advance.)
  • Stay away from nonpareils, colored sugar and quins, which are all colorful and fun, but will turn your dip into a murky disaster because their colors run.
  • Store in the fridge for 1-2 days, covered in plastic wrap or in an airtight food container. The sprinkles might bleed the longer it sits, giving it a swirly look, but that's OK.
  • Let it warm up for a few minutes if you’re storing it in the fridge. The consistency will change when it’s cold, and we want this goodness to be dippable.
