Homemade Garlic Bread
Homemade Garlic Bread is made by spreading a garlic-infused butter and olive oil mixture seasoned with parsley onto halved French bread, topped with grated Parmesan cheese, and baked until the edges are golden and the cheese is melted. The result is a flavorful, soft inside and slightly crisp exterior bread side.
Ingredients
- 1 French bread loaf
- 1/2 cup butter softened at room temperature, salted
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
- 1 Tbsp garlic minced
- 1 Tbsp parsley finely chopped
- 3 Tbsp Parmesan Cheese grated
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
- With a hand held mixer, combine the butter, olive oil, garlic and parsley. Mix until well combined and fluffy.
- Cut the french bread in half length-wise and place on a baking sheet
- Spread the butter mixture on each side of the bread and top with the grated parmesan cheese.
- Baked uncovered for 8-10 minutes until the outside of the bread is slightly browned.
- Cut and serve immediately. Enjoy!
Notes
- Slice the bread into ¾ to 1 inch thick pieces for individual servings and bake similarly.
- Make large batches and freeze in freezer bags for easy future use.
- Serve hot from the oven for best flavor and texture.
