Homemade Guacamole

Ingredients

  • 4 Hass avocados, halved and pitted
  • ½ medium (1 ounce) lime, juiced
  • ½ medium (1 ounce) orange, juiced
  • 2 teaspoons kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 medium tomato, diced
  • ½ red bell pepper, diced
  • ½ green bell pepper, diced
  • 1 medium jalapeño, diced
  • ¼ cup green onions, diced
  • ¼ cup cilantro, finely diced
  • ½ cup blue cheese
  • 5 slices thick-cut bacon, cooked and crumbled

Instructions

  1. Scoop the avocado from the skin and place into a medium bowl or use a Molcajete (mortar and pestle set). Mash the avocado until smooth. You can leave a few chunks for texture.
  2. Stir in the lime juice and orange juice.
  3. Add salt, cayenne pepper, tomato, red pepper, green pepper, jalapeno, and green onions and lightly stir.
  4. Top with cilantro blue cheese and crumbled bacon.
