Instructions

  1. Start by combining beef mince, egg, onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper in a large mixing bowl. Use your hands to mix everything together thoroughly.
  2. Divide the mixture into four portions and shape each one into a 2cm-thick patty.
  3. Heat a non-stick or grill pan over medium-high heat, and cook the patties for 3-4 minutes per side until they're fully cooked through.
  4. While the patties are cooking, prepare the burger buns by slicing them in half and toasting them lightly in the oven or under the grill.
  5. When the patties are almost done, add a slice of cheddar cheese to each patty to melt.
  6. To assemble the burgers, place a cooked patty on the bottom half of each bun, add your preferred toppings, and then place the top half of the bun on top.
  7. Serve the burgers immediately with your favourite sides, such as fries or onion rings.

Notes

  • Nutritional facts:
  • The provision of nutritional information is done so merely as a courtesy and should not be taken as a guarantee.
  • Feel free to personalize the toppings to your liking.
  • If you want your burgers cooked differently, adjust the cooking time accordingly. However, keep in mind that eating undercooked ground beef may increase the risk of food poisoning.
  • You can also use a frying pan on the stovetop to cook the patties, using a little oil to prevent sticking.
