Homemade Hot Chocolate Mix

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • pinch of salt

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. In a food processor or blender, blend the sugar for about 15 seconds.
  2. Add the cocoa powder and salt.
  3. Blend for about 10 additional seconds.
  4. Store in a jar or other container with a tight-fitting lid.
  5. To use, stir about 1 tablespoon of cocoa mix into 6 ounces of hot milk or hot water.

Notes

  • Granulated sugar: I use regular granulated sugar in this recipe. If you use an organic sugar with a larger grain, you will need to add additional time in the food processor to break the sugar down. 
  • Cocoa powder: I use regular or special dark unsweetened cocoa powder in this recipe.
