Ingredients
- 1 l water
- 200 g pineapple skin and core (see notes)
- 5 g ginger (grated)
- 1 cinnamon stick
- honey (optional, to taste)
Instructions
- Bring water to a boil over medium heat. Add the pineapple skin, pineapple center, cinnamon stick, and ginger. Let it simmer for about 15 minutes until the flavors infuse.
- Carefully strain the tea through a fine mesh sieve.
- Transfer the strained pineapple ginger tea to a teapot. For extra presentation and flavor, you can add a few pieces of pineapple skin back to the teapot. Optionally stir in a few tablespoons of honey. Serve hot or cold and enjoy!
