Homemade Pizza Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 Tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 (6 ounce can) tomato paste
  • 1 (15 ounce can) tomato sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • pinch of crushed red pepper optional

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan sauté the olive oil and garlic. Whisk in the tomato paste, and tomato sauce. Add Italian seasoning, sugar, salt, paprika, and pepper.
  2. Whisk everything together and heat for 3-5 minutes until heated throughout. Add a pinch of red pepper for some spice if desired. Use in your favorite recipes.
