Homemade Protein Bars Recipe

These homemade protein bars are simple to make with just 8 ingredients, and each one is packed with a whopping 12 grams of protein!

Ingredients

  • ⅓ cup chocolate or vanilla protein powder
  • 1½ cups nut butter
  • ⅓ cup honey
  • 3 tablespoons ground flaxseed
  • ⅓ cup rolled oats
  • ½ cup chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil
  • ¼ cup sliced almonds

Instructions

  1. In the bowl of a stand mixer, combine the protein powder, nut butter, honey, flaxseed, and rolled oats. Mix until fully combined. Mixture should appear crumbly but hold together when squeezed.
  2. Line an 8x8-inch baking pan with parchment paper. Pour the nut butter mixture into the prepared pan and press down firmly with your hands.
  3. Melt the chocolate chips and coconut oil in a microwave-safe bowl. Drizzle the melted chocolate over the top of the bars and sprinkle with sliced almonds.
  4. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before slicing into 10 bars.

Notes

  • Storage: Store chocolate almond protein bars in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
