Homemade Red Iced Tea

This homemade red iced tea with mint is a breeze to make and great if you are looking for an easy and quick way to cool down from the sizzling hot summer.

Ingredients

  • 3 bags of red tea
  • 1 lemon - squeezed
  • ½ lemon - cut into slices
  • sugar or honey (amount depends on personal preference, I used 3-4 Tablespoons honey)
  • 2 tems fresh mint
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 3 cups cold water
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Add tea bags to the cup of boiled water and steep for 10 minutes.
  2. Take out tea bags and add sugar or honey and stir until all grains are dissolved.
  3. Transfer the hot tea in a jar or jug and add the lemon juice, lemon slices and mint leaves. Using a wooden spoon, press some of the mint leaves to help infuse tea with mint flavor.
  4. Add the cold water and ice cubes and stir.
