Homemade Simple Syrup Recipe
This easy-to-prepare simple syrup recipe is perfect to coat cakes in and toss with fresh berries to help sweeten them up.
Ingredients
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup sugar
Instructions
- Add the water and sugar to a small size sauce pot.
- Bring to a boil over high heat and cook until the sugar has been completely dissolved. Chill and store.
Notes
- Make-Ahead: You can make this up to 1 week ahead of time.
- How to Store: Cover and keep in the refrigerator for up to 4 weeks.
- You can make a less sweet version by using a 3 to 1 or 2 to 1 water to sugar if you’d like.
