Homemade Strawberry Milk Recipe

Homemade Strawberry Milk is made by simmering strawberries with sugar and water to create a fragrant syrup, which is then strained and mixed with milk to taste. This recipe allows control over sweetness and strawberry intensity, producing a fresh, naturally flavored milk beverage that can be customized with optional red food coloring.

Homemade Strawberry Milk
  • 3 cups strawberries frozen is fine, hulled and chopped
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar 300g
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 12 milk preferably whole, up to 15 cups
  • red food coloring optional

Instructions

  1. In a medium pot, combine strawberries, sugar, and water. Bring to a low boil. Keep at a low boil for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until reduced and strawberries are fragrant. 
  2. Strain syrup from strawberries and discard the strawberries. Store syrup in an airtight container in the fridge.
  3. Mix 3 to 4 tablespoons of syrup per 1 cup of milk. Add more to taste. If desired, stir in a drop or two of red food coloring. Serve and enjoy!
