Homemade Strawberry Milk Recipe

Homemade Strawberry Milk is made by simmering strawberries with sugar and water to create a fragrant syrup, which is then strained and mixed with milk to taste. This recipe allows control over sweetness and strawberry intensity, producing a fresh, naturally flavored milk beverage that can be customized with optional red food coloring.

Description

This Homemade Strawberry Milk recipe begins by combining fresh or frozen hulled and chopped strawberries with granulated sugar and water, simmering the mixture until it reduces and develops a strong strawberry aroma. After about ten minutes of gentle boiling and occasional stirring, the strawberry syrup is strained through a fine-mesh strainer to remove solids.

The resulting sweet and fragrant strawberry syrup is stored refrigerated in an airtight container and then mixed with milk, commonly whole milk, in proportions of three to four tablespoons of syrup per cup of milk. The mixture can be adjusted to taste for sweetness and strawberry flavor intensity. Red food coloring is optional for enhanced color but does not affect flavor.

This homemade version is a fresh alternative to commercial flavored milks, relying on natural fruit and sugar rather than artificial flavorings. It can be served chilled as a refreshing drink or used creatively in desserts and breakfasts.
