Homemade Teriyaki Sauce

Simple sweet and savory homemade teriyaki sauce is a flavorful marinade for any protein. Add to a stir-fry packed with veggies for the finishing sauce!

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 teaspoons Sriracha hot sauce
  • 2 cloves fresh garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine all ingredients and whisk until the sugar is dissolved. Use as a marinade, glaze or pour over cooked meat and vegetables. To thicken up the sauce mix 1 tablespoon of cornstarch with 1 tablespoon of water. Whisk into sauce. Heat for about 3 minutes to thicken.
