Homemade Vindaloo Curry Powder is a dry spice blend combining garlic powder, cayenne pepper, paprika, ginger, coriander, turmeric, mustard powder, cumin, and cinnamon. This mix offers a warm, spicy flavor foundation suitable for vindaloo dishes or to add heat and depth to various recipes.
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper powder Or use ghost pepper powder for a REALLY SPICY version, or use just a pinch
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon ginger
- 1 teaspoon Coriander
- 1 teaspoon Turmeric
- 1 teaspoon mustard powder
- ½ teaspoon cumin
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon
Instructions
- Combine all of the ingredients together in a bowl and mix well. Use as needed.
Notes
- This spice blend yields about a quarter cup of curry powder.
- Adjust the heat by substituting ghost pepper powder for cayenne pepper to make it much spicier, or reduce cayenne for milder heat.
