Honey Butter Crescent Rolls

Honey Butter Crescent Rolls are tender, flaky rolls baked from crescent roll dough and coated with a rich honey butter glaze. The combination of melted salted butter, honey, and powdered sugar forms a thick, sweet sauce that enhances the already buttery dough. Baking until golden brown creates a soft interior with a slightly crisp exterior. These rolls are well suited for breakfast, brunch, or as a sweet side.

Ingredients

  • 12 ounces crescent rolls brand: Pillsbury Original
  • 2 tablespoons butter salted
  • 1 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon powdered sugar

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Unroll dough, separate into 8 triangles. Roll up loosely on an I greased cookie sheet. Bake for 12-15 minutes.
  3. While crescents bake begin making honey butter. In a small sauce pan, melt salted butter. Then add the honey and powdered sugar. Mix well until incorporated (the sauce will instantly become thicker once the powdered sugar is added), remove from the heat and set to the side.
  4. Once crescents are golden brown remove from the oven. Using a spatula, lift underneath the crescents to ensure they didn't stick. Then, the drizzle honey butter sauce on top and enjoy immediately.

Notes

  • To reduce sugar, omit the powdered sugar in the honey butter glaze, though it helps thicken and add sweetness.
  • Frozen croissant dough can be used in place of crescent rolls for a similar texture and taste.
  • For air fryer preparation, spray the basket with non-stick spray and cook at 325°F for 8-10 minutes until golden, then drizzle honey butter over the warm rolls.
