Honey Garlic Sauce

Ingredients

  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce low sodium
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch

  1. In a small saucepan, combine the minced garlic, honey, soy sauce, and apple cider vinegar. Stir to mix the ingredients well.
  2. Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer, stirring occasionally.
  3. In a separate small bowl, whisk together the water and cornstarch until the cornstarch is fully dissolved. Slowly pour this slurry into the simmering sauce while stirring.
  4. Continue to cook the sauce, stirring constantly, until it thickens to your desired consistency, usually about 2-3 minutes.
  5. Remove the sauce from heat and allow it to cool slightly before using. The sauce will thicken further as it cools.
