Notes

  • If you can’t get your hands on honeysuckle vodka, you can use regular vodka, your favorite bourbon or rum.
  • To make a 6-drink pitcher, combine the following in a pitcher, stir and serve immediately:
  • If entertaining, add all the ingredients to the pitcher except the ginger ale and chill for 2-4 hours ahead of time. Before serving guests, top the pitcher with ginger ale and serve immediately.
  • There are no hard and fast rules to making any cocktail a "smash" drink, so we get to pick and choose what we like as we go!
  • Here are some ideas for making this Cherry Smash unique to your tastebuds:
  • 42 pitted cherries
  • 36-42 mint leaves
  • 3 tablespoons agave nectar
  • 12 oz. honeysuckle vodka
  • 6 oz. lemon juice, freshly squeezed
  • 24 oz. ginger ale
  • Swap out the honeysuckle vodka for bourbon or whiskey, rum or a plain vodka.
  • Instead of lemon juice, use lime juice instead.
  • Switch out your sweetener. Instead of agave nectar, use the same amount of simple syrup or honey.
  • Make it a different type of fruit smash! Depending on the season, swap out the cherries for peaches, blueberries, strawberries, blackberries, plums, etc. The world is your oyster!
