Instructions

Hot Chocolate Bombs

  1. Add the chocolate to a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave for 30 seconds and stir. Repeat microwaving for 30 seconds and stirring after each interval until the chocolate is completely melted.
  2. Add 2 spoonfuls of the chocolate to each cavity of the chocolate mold and coat the cavity wall well with the back of the spoon making it thick on the sides and edges. If any chocolate goes over the edge, wipe it clean. You’ll want a clean straight edge.
  3. Let the chocolate sit for a few minutes. If you see any thin spots or spots that need chocolate, add additional chocolate to cover the spots. Let harden.
  4. Remove the chocolate from the molds. Use gloves to avoid fingerprints.
  5. In each of 6 of the half spheres, add a heaping tablespoon of hot cocoa mix and 2 tablespoons of mini dehydrated marshmallows.
  6. Warm any remaining melted chocolate back up by microwaving for 30 seconds and stirring.
  7. Add the melted chocolate to a sandwich bag. Cut a small hole in the corner of the sandwich bag.
  8. Pipe the chocolate on the edge of one of the half spheres that’s filled with hot cocoa and marshmallows.
  9. Place an empty half-sphere on the top.
  10. Using a spoon or a paper towel, carefully wipe any excess chocolate off the hot chocolate bombs.
  11. Melt the 1/4 cup of chocolate that’s for garnish in the microwave in 30-second intervals and stir after each interval until completely melted.
  12. Add to a new sandwich bag. Cut a small hole in the corner of the sandwich bag.
  13. Quickly moving the bag back and forth, pipe strips on top of the hot chocolate bomb. Let harden.
