Hot Crab and Shrimp Seafood Dip

This hot seafood dip with crab and shrimp is loaded with melted cheddar, fontina, and goat cheese, or Boursin, then smoked or baked until golden and bubbly.

Ingredients

  • 4 Ounces lump crab meat
  • 4 Ounces Shrimp
  • 4 Ounces cheddar cheese
  • 4 Ounces Boursin cheese or Goat Cheese
  • 4 Ounces fontina
  • 2 Tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon garlic paste or minced garlic
  • ½ teaspoon hot sauce or more to taste

Instructions

  1. Cut the shrimp into small bite sized pieces, shred the cheddar and fontina and cube the Boursin cheese. Reserve ½ cup of the shredded cheese.
  2. Melt the butter in a pan over medium heat. Sauté the minced garlic for about 2-3 minutes, then add in the shrimp and heat until cooked through. Remove the pan from the heat and gently stir in the crab meat.
  3. In a large bowl gently, mix all of the ingredients together, except the reserved shredded cheese, and place in an oven safe dish. Top with the reserved cheese.
  4. Preheat your oven or smoker to 350 degrees. Bake the seafood dip for 30-40 minutes until melted, bubby, and slightly browned.
  5. Serve with chips, crackers, bread, or toast tips.
