Hot Honey Pepperoni Pizza

Ingredients

  • 1 12-inch store-bought pizza crust
  • 1/2 cup Pizza Sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded Mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup sliced pepperoni
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
  • fresh basil leaves for garnish
  • Homemade Hot Honey Sauce:
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1-2 teaspoons hot sauce to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 450°F. Place the store-bought pizza crust on a baking sheet or pizza stone.
  2. Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the crust, leaving a 1/2-inch border around the edges.
  3. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce.
  4. Arrange the pepperoni slices evenly over the cheese.
  5. Sprinkle the dried oregano over the top.
  6. In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, and hot sauce until well combined.
  7. Drizzle the homemade hot honey sauce over the pepperoni and cheese.
  8. Bake the pizza for 15-20 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Remove from the oven and let the pizza cool a few minutes before slicing.
  10. Garnish with fresh basil leaves, if desired.

Notes

  • Adjust the amount of hot honey to your desired level of spiciness. For a milder pizza, use less hot honey.
  • If you prefer more kick you can add red pepper flakes with the honey and hot sauce mixture.
