Ingredients

  • 1 cup basmati rice
  • 1 1/2 cup cold water
  • 1 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. To a medium-sized pot, add water, rice and salt. Bring it to a boil.
  2. Cover the pot with a lid, turn the heat to low, and let the rice simmer for 12 minutes (don't open the lid or stir the rice).
  3. Remove the rice from heat and keep the lid on. Allow the rice to cool for 10-15 minutes.
