How to Cook Snap Peas

Fresh sugar snap peas need no other embellishments than olive oil, salt and pepper in order for their fabulous flavor to shine through!  This comes together in 5 minutes and makes a simple, elegant, healthy and thoroughly tasty side dish!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh sugar snap peas , remove stem ends and strings
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 3/4 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the snap peas and stir to coat with oil. Add the salt and pepper. Saute for 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the snap peas are tender but still crispy. Add more salt and pepper to taste. Serve immediately.
