How to Freeze Cucumbers (Step by Step Instructions)

If you have a lot of cucumbers on hand, either from your home garden or from a sale at your grocer, you may wonder if it’s possible to freeze cucumbers. While freezing cucumbers will affect the texture, largely because they contain a lot of water, you can freeze cucumbers and then use them in ways you may not have thought of before.

Servings: 1 bag
Course: Others

Ingredients

  • 1 cucumber
  • parchment paper
  • Freezer-safe bag

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Cut the cucumber into slices.
  2. Place sliced cucumber onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  3. Place the baking sheet into the freezer until the cucumber is frozen and firm, about 2 hours.
  4. Put the frozen cucumber into a resealable freezer bag or a freezer-safe container. Label the bag and place it in the freezer.
