Wondering if you can freeze whole garlic cloves? Here’s how I freeze garlic cloves.

Course: Condiments

Ingredients

  • garlic as much or as little as you'd like

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Peel the garlic. Make sure to cut off the tough root end.
  2. Place the garlic in a single layer on a lined sheet pan. A little overlap is fine but avoid creating a pile on the sheet pan.
  3. Flash freeze the garlic cloves (covered or uncovered) for 2 to 3 hours, or until frozen. This depends on how cold you set your freezer.
  4. Transfer the frozen garlic cloves into a freezer-safe airtight container or bag. You can also vacuum seal them as well.
  5. Freeze for up to 6 months.
