How To Make a Gin Basil Smash

The Gin Basil Smash is a refreshing cocktail that combines fresh basil leaves with lemon juice, simple syrup, and gin. Muddling the basil releases aromatic oils that balance the acidity of the lemon and sweetness of the syrup. Shaken with ice and strained, the drink is served cold with extra ice for a crisp and herbaceous flavor.
