This easy homemade essential oil body spray is a great natural alternative to store bought sprays--with multiple other uses as well.

Cook Time
mins
Servings: 4 ounces
Course: Others

Ingredients

  • 2 ounces 90 proof vodka (or EverClear)
  • 48 drops essential oil or oil blend of your choice
  • 2 ounces organic witch hazel or hydrosol of choice

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. In spray bottle, combine essential oil (or blend) with vodka.
  2. Shake well to dilute.
  3. Fill the remainder of the bottle with witch hazel or a hydrosol (for added fragrance).
  4. Use as desired, shaking well before each use.

Notes

  • While there are different ways to emulsify essential oils, not all are as effective as others. This post on emulsifying essential oils goes into some of that information.
  • If you aren't able to use alcohol for some reason, then a hydrosol is a good idea or you could use glycerin instead. As mentioned in the post referenced above, glycerin isn't a great emulsifier, but it's better than nothing.
