How To Make Hemp Milk (2-Ingredients)
Homemade hemp milk is prepared by blending hulled hemp seeds with water to produce a creamy, smooth plant-based milk. Optional ingredients like maple syrup or vanilla extract can be added for sweetness and flavor. The resulting milk offers a fresh alternative to store-bought non-dairy milks.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup hemp seeds hulled, aka hemp hearts
- 4 cups water
Optional
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup or honey or 2-3 pitted dates
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Add hemp seeds, water, and any additional sweeteners to a high-powered blender.
- Blend for 1 minute or until the milk is nice and creamy.
- Pour the hemp milk into a sealable container (see my favorite in the notes below).
- Place it into the fridge and store it for up to 5 days.
Notes
- Reduce the amount of water to create a thicker and creamier hemp milk consistency.
- Store homemade hemp milk in air-tight containers such as juice jars to maintain freshness up to 5 days.
- Use a high-powered blender like a Vitamix for the smoothest texture without graininess.
- Hulled hemp seeds contribute to the milk's mild, nutty flavor and creamy consistency.
