How to Make Mozzarella Sticks
Feel free to indulge in this 'healthier' alternative to deep fried mozzarella sticks. They are crispy, gooey and easy to make!

Ingredients
- 2/3 cup Italian breadcrumbs
- 2/3 cup Italian panko breadcrumbs
- 2 tbsp finely grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 1/2 tbsp Coconut oil or butter melted
- 3 eggs beaten
- 1/2 cup flour
- 24 Mozzarella cheese sticks cut half
Instructions
- Combine the breadcrumbs, Panko and parmesan cheese in a bowl
- Add melted coconut oil or butter and mix with fingers until it is equally absorbed, set aside
- In another bowl crack three eggs. Whisk thoroughly, set aside.
- In a third bowl, add 1/2 cup flour.
- Make sure cheese sticks are unwrapped and cut in half
- Working one at a time, dip cheese stick into the flour first, then into the egg, then into the breadcrumb mixture on a parchment lined baking sheet.
- When finished, put in cheese sticks in the freezer for at least an hour.
- When ready to cook, preheat oven to 400°F. Keep cheese sticks frozen until ready to put in the oven.
- Place desired amount on a parchment lined baking sheet and cook for 5 minutes.
- Flip the them over and cook another 3-5 minutes.
- Alternatively, preheat the air-fryer to 380°F. Place in the air fryer basket in a single layer, not touching, and cook for 6-8 minutes, or until golden.

Notes
- Serve with marinara sauce. Once frozen, place extra cheese sticks in a freezer safe ziplock bag and store in the freezer for up to 6 months.
