How to Make the Perfect Mimosa
This recipe details a classic Mimosa cocktail made by gently combining chilled sparkling wine, such as Cava or Prosecco, with pulp-free orange juice. The bright, effervescent drink is assembled in a champagne flute without stirring to preserve bubbles. It offers a balanced citrus and sparkling flavor ideal for brunch or celebratory occasions. A fruit garnish can be added for presentation.
Ingredients
- 1 ml sparkling wine makes about 8 mimosas, bottle chilled, Cava or Prosecco
- 16-20 ounces orange juice 2 ounces per drink, pulp-free
Instructions
- Open the bottle of sparkling wine.
- Pour 2 ounces of orange juice into a champagne flute then slowly add the champagne until the glass is full. Once the bubbles have gone down a bit, add more champagne as desired. Do not stir.
- Garnish with fresh fruit if desired. Cheers!
Notes
- Use sparkling wine chilled for at least 3 hours and cold, pulp-free orange juice to keep the Mimosa refreshing without dilution.
- Do not stir after pouring to maintain carbonation.
- Garnishing with fresh fruit is optional but adds a nice presentation touch.
