Learn how to microwave a potato! The result is as fluffy as a baked potato, but with less hassle and quicker cooking time. It is perfect for busy weeknights!

Ingredients
- 1 large russet potato
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 3 tablespoons shredded cheddar cheese
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon sour cream
- chopped green onions

Instructions
- Scrub and wash the potato well, prick several times with a fork. Place on a plate.
- Cook on full power in the microwave for 5 minutes. Turn over, and cook for another 5 more minutes.
- When the potato is soft, remove from the microwave, and cut it in half lengthwise.
- Season with salt and pepper, mash the inside with a fork. Top with butter and cheese. Return to the microwave, and cook for 1 minute to melt the cheese.
- Top with sour cream and green onions, serve.
