Ingredients

  • 2 ears corn on the cob
  • dish towel to wrap
  • water
Optional sides
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • butter

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Remove the husk and silk from the ears of corn. Rinse them under running water.
  2. Place the corn in a dish towel. Wrap the dish towels around the corn snuggly and then run it under the water to fully wet the corn and towel. Try not to leave any dry spots in the towel, but not have them dripping in a pool of water either. Squeeze out extra moisture if necessary.
  3. Place the corn on a plate and put it inside the microwave.
  4. On the highest power level (mine is level 10), microwave the corn and stop halfway to turn it: 1 ear of corn: 6 minutes total, 2 ears of corn: 9 minutes total
  5. Test the corn with a fork and pluck one kernel to taste. Remove the corn from the microwave and unwrap the towel carefully--it will be hot! Butter, season, and serve.
