  • ¼ teaspoon baking soda
  • sugar to taste

Instructions

  1. Chop the tomatoes and remove the seeds.
  2. Place the tomatoes into a blender.
  3. Add the baking soda and thoroughly blend.
  4. Transfer the sauce to a pan and simmer on low for about 60 minutes.
  5. Regularly check the taste of the sauce and add more baking soda as needed.
  6. Sprinkle with a teaspoon of sugar if needed.
