How to Toast Garlic

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup canola oil
  • 1 head garlic, peeled and minced

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. In a pan over low heat, heat oil until warm (NOT HOT).
  2. Add the garlic and cook, stirring occasionally, for about 7 to 10 minutes or until golden brown.
  3. With a slotted spoon, remove garlic from oil and drain on paper towels.
  4. Allow to cool completely and crisp. Store in an airtight container.

Notes

  • Remove the garlic from the hot oil when the color turns light brown as it will continue to cook in the residual heat.
