Ice Cream in a Bag

Ice cream in a bag is the perfect summertime kid-friendly treat! Super simple and absolutely delicious, this science project is one your kids are going to want to keep on repeat.

Ingredients

  • 2 gallon sized ziplock bags
  • 2 cups heavy cream half and half or whole milk
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 6-8 cups ice
  • 1/3 cup rock salt
Optional Mix Ins:
  • Sprinkles
  • Crushed oreos
  • Mini M&Ms
  • Sliced fruit

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. In gallon sized ziplock bag add the ice and salt.
  2. In another gallon sized bag add the heavy cream.
  3. Add in the sugar and shake the bag.
  4. Add in the vanilla and shake.
  5. Seal the bag completely so that the salt will not get into the bag and place in the bag with the ice.
  6. Shake the bag for about 5 minutes or until frozen. *

Notes

  • *We like to take them on a hike and eat them at the top.
