Instant Pot Beef Curry Recipe
This Instant Pot Beef Curry features chunks of beef cooked with onion, garlic, tomato sauce, beef broth, and a spice mix including yellow curry powder and garam masala. Cooked under pressure, it yields tender, flavorful meat in a rich and spiced curry sauce. Garnishes of fresh cilantro and chopped red onion add freshness and texture when served over rice.
Ingredients
- 2-3 pounds steak chopped into chunks, or roast
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 tomato sauce 8 oz. can
- 1 tablespoon garlic minced
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1.5 tablespoons yellow curry powder
- 1 tablespoon garam masala
- 1/2 yellow onion chopped, large
- cilantro to garnish
- onion to garnish, red, chopped
Instructions
- Place the steak and yellow onion in the Instant pot.
- In a small bowl mix mix the rest of the ingredients. Pour this mixture over the steak and onions in the instant pot.
- Cover and set the valve to sealing. Set the pressure for 25 minutes on high pressure.
- Do a quick release to release the pressure from the instant pot.
- Stir to combine the ingredients.
- Serve over rice and top with red onion and cilantro. Enjoy!
Notes
- Store leftover beef curry in an airtight container in the refrigerator and consume within 5 days for best quality and safety.
