Instant Pot Hard Boiled Eggs (Easy to Peel)

Perfectly cooked hard boiled eggs in an Instant Pot from medium-soft to well done. Enjoy as a snack or add to your favorite recipes.

Ingredients

  • 6-12 large eggs
  • 2-4 cups ice
  • cold water

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Place wire rack in bottom of the Instant Pot.
  2. Add 1 cup of water to the Instant Pot.
  3. Layer eggs in a single layer on top of the wire rack.
  4. Cover and close vent. Set timer for 5 minutes for medium-hard boiled eggs on manual setting ** see notes for additional cook times.
  5. Cook then manual release when the alarm sounds.
  6. While eggs are cooking, prepare an ice bath by adding ice to a large bowl and filling with cold water
  7. Immediately add eggs to ice bath and let them cool in the ice bath for 10 minutes.
  8. Peel and serve or store in a sealed container for up to 1 week in the refrigerator.

Notes

  • Cooking times depends on how you liked your eggs cooked:
  • A 8 quart Instant Pot will fit 12 eggs.
  • Medium-Soft Hard Boiled Eggs - Cook for 4 minutes
  • Medium Hard Boiled Eggs - Cook for 5 minutes
  • Hard Boiled Eggs - Cook 6 minutes
  • Well Done Hard Boiled Eggs - Cook 7 minutes
