  • 2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 2 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
Italian Dressing
  • 3/4 cups olive oil
  • 1/4 cup white wine vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • 2 Tablespoons Italian dressing mix

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Italian Seasoning Mix
  2. In a small mixing bowl whisk together the garlic powder, parsley, basil, onion powder, red pepper, salt and pepper.
  3. Place in a jar with a lid.
  4. Italian Dressing
  5. Add 2 Tablespoons of the Italian seasoning mix, olive oil, vinegar and lemon juice to a large jar with a lid. Shake before using.

Notes

  • Dressing will make about 2 cups. To make less, you can adjust the oil and vinegar. Generally, the ratio should be 3 parts oil to 1 part vinegar. Add the Italian seasoning mix to taste.
  • Marinade - to use as a marinade for meat - place in a container with a lid and keep in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, but no more than 24 hours.
  • Double or triple the dry herbs and spices to keep on hand to add Italian spices to all your Italian dishes.
