Jambon-Beurre

Also called “Le Parisien”, the jambon-beurre is a sandwich made up of a buttered sliced half baguette with slices of ham. It is often served with French pickles (cornichons).

Ingredients

  • ½ fresh baguette
  • 3 oz. ham bone-in, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter (or semi-salted butter), cold
  • French pickles (cornichons), optional

Instructions

  1. Slice open one side of the baguette lengthwise.
  2. Spread butter on both sides of the bread.
  3. Gently fold the ham and place it in the baguette.
  4. Add a few French pickles (optional).
  5. Close the sandwich and enjoy.
