Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 8 slices American cheese or cheese of your choice, cut into quarters
  • 1 tablespoon avocado oil
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • Optional toppings: lettuce tomato, onion, pickles, ketchup, mustard

  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  2. In a bowl, combine the ground beef, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Mix the ingredients thoroughly without overworking the meat.
  4. Divide the seasoned ground beef into 8 equal portions and flatten each portion into thin patties.
  5. Take 4 of the patties and place 2 quarters of cheese in the center of each patty.
  6. Place the remaining 4 patties on top of the cheese-topped patties, and pinch the edges together to
  7. seal, ensuring the cheese is completely enclosed within the meat.
  8. Gently shape the patties into burgers, ensuring the cheese is securely sealed inside.
  9. Brush the grill grates with avocado oil to prevent sticking, then place the burgers on the grill.
  10. Grill the burgers for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of
  11. doneness and the cheese is melted inside.
  12. Toast the hamburger buns on the grill for about 1-2 minutes.
  13. Assemble the burgers on the buns, adding your favorite toppings.

Notes

  • - Make sure you seal those patties tight around the edges. It's all about keeping that cheese locked in and contained as it melts.
  • - I recommend using an 80/20 blend of beef.
