Keto Blueberry Sauce
Keto Blueberry Sauce is a naturally sweetened topping made by gently simmering fresh blueberries with monk fruit sweetener, lemon juice, and water. As the berries break down, they produce a thick sauce that can be served warm or cooled over desserts like ice cream or pancakes, adding fresh berry flavor without added sugar.
Ingredients
- 12 ounces blueberries fresh
- ¼ cup Monk Fruit Sweetener powdered, or allulose
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice fresh
- ¼ cup water
Instructions
- Add the blueberries, Swerve, lemon juice and water to a sauce pan and cook over medium/low heat for 8-10 minutes. The berries will start to break down and the sauce will thicken as it cooks.
- Allow to cool before serving. If you prefer a smooth sauce, you can blend it in a food processor, until you get your desired consistency. Serve over ice cream, pancakes or cheesecake. Store leftovers in an airtight jar for several days in the fridge.
Notes
- Typical serving is about 1 ½ tablespoons of sauce.
- Store leftovers in an airtight jar in the fridge for several days.
- Blend the sauce for a smooth consistency if preferred.
