Ingredients
- 1 Cup Strawberries with the tops trimmed
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ teaspoon banana extract
- ¼ Cup plain greek yogurt
- 2 Scoops low carb plain protein powder
- 1 Cup almond milk unsweetened
- 1 Cup ice optional
Instructions
- Place all ingredients- yogurt, banana extract, vanilla extract, strawberries and milk into a food processor or blender and pulse on high until smooth and creamy.
- For a thick smoothie use frozen strawberries or add ice.
Cup of Yum
Notes
- For an extra creamy texture, freeze your fruit beforehand. This eliminates the need for adding ice, which can sometimes dilute the flavor of the smoothie.
- If your blender tends to get hard chunks on the bottom, try adding the liquid first so you don't have to scrape the sides as much.
- Don’t be afraid to experiment with different flavor combinations! Mixing fruits like mango, pineapple, and peaches can create a tropical flavor.
