Lemon Garlic Shrimp Skillet

Easy and delicious Sauteed shrimp recipe seared with lemon juice, fresh garlic, and only simple ingredients.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound medium shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • Kosher salt and ground pepper to taste
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 lemon thinly sliced, plus juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 tablespoon white wine vinegar
  • 1-2 tablespoons water or broth
  • Freshly chopped curly parsley for garnish
  • 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes or to your taste

Instructions

  1. Peel and devein the 1 pound medium shrimp and place them in a mixing bowl. Season with Kosher salt and ground pepper, and stir in the 3 cloves garlic (minced). Let marinate in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  2. Heat 1 1/2 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add shrimp and cook, stirring frequently, until shrimp starts to curl, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Add 1 lemon (juiced), lemon slices, 1 tablespoon white wine vinegar, 1-2 tablespoons water or broth, and simmer for 2 minutes more until the shrimp is fully cooked and opaque.
  4. Remove from the heat, transfer to a serving dish.
  5. Garnish with Freshly chopped curly parsley and 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes.

  • Place leftovers in a container and store them in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the microwave when ready to eat. You can freeze for up to 3 months in a tightly sealed container.
  • Shrimp: not fond of shrimp? use chicken breast or steak bites
  • Lemon or lime
  • Use any oil. Avocado or any other oil will work.
