Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon lemon extract

  1. Combine the sugar and cornstarch in a saucepan. Whisk to combine.
  2. Add in the lemon juice and stir. The stir in the egg yolks, water and lemon extract.
  3. Cook over medium heat until the mixture is thickened and smooth, stirring often.
