Lemon Tea
Easy and quick to make, lemon tea is a warming drink made with natural ingredients. Bright and zingy in flavor, it's sure to energize you!
Ingredients
- 1 Tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 Tablespoon honey
- 8 oz water warm
Instructions
- In a teacup or mug, add freshly squeezed lemon juice.
- Heat water, then carefully pour the warm water into the cup. Stir well to combine.
- Add honey to taste and stir until fully dissolved.
- Adjust by adding more lemon juice and honey if desired. Enjoy!
Notes
- Use fresh lemon juice rather than bottled. This will give you the best flavor. This is my favorite lemon squeezer (affiliate link).
- Don't use boiling water. My late grandmother taught me that for the best flavor, you need warm water not boiling water. The ideal water temperature for this tea is around 110 - 140 F, warm enough to sip comfortably. Use a temperature-controlled kettle or heat on the cooktop, and take off the heat just when you see tiny bubbles forming.
- I like to add a slice of lemon to my tea because as it steeps, it adds more of its delicious and refreshing citrus flavor.
- You can easily adapt this lemon and honey tea recipe to suit your tastes by adding more lemon juice or honey.
