Ingredients
- 3 cups elbow macaroni cooked and drained
- 4 tablespoons butter
- ¼ cup all-purpose flour
- 2 cups whole milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon mustard powder
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded Mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat Oven – Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
- Step 2: Make Cheese Sauce – In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute. Slowly whisk in milk and cream until smooth.
- Step 3: Add Cheese – Stir in mustard powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Remove from heat and mix in cheddar, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheese until melted.
- Step 4: Combine & Bake – Toss cooked macaroni with the cheese sauce and spread in the baking dish. Mix breadcrumbs with melted butter and sprinkle on top.
- Step 5: Bake & Serve – Bake uncovered for 20-25 minutes until bubbly and golden brown. Let cool slightly before serving.
