Macaroni and Cheese Pizza

Craving mac and cheese and pizza at the same time? Combine the best of both worlds with this easy-to-follow recipe for homemade mac and cheese pizza.

Ingredients

  • 1 refrigerated pizza dough or homemade
  • 2 Tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 cups macaroni and cheese boxed or homemade
  • ½ cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded Mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
  • 5 strips bacon cooked and crumbled

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Roll dough out and place on a pizza pan.
  3. Combine olive oil, Italian seasoning , and garlic powder. Brush an even layer across the crust.
  4. Bake the crust for 6-7 minutes in preheated oven at 425 degrees Fahrenheit or until it just starts to get spots of golden brown and the olive oil is mostly absorbed.
  5. In a medium bowl mix all the cheeses together.
  6. In another medium mixing bowl add the prepared macaroni and cheese and half of the shredded cheese mixture and mix until combined. Spread the macaroni and cheese mixture in an even layer across the pizza crust.
  7. Top with remaining cheese and then sprinkle the crumbled bacon on top of the cheese.
  8. Bake for another 10-15 minutes in preheated oven at 425 degrees Fahrenheit or until the edges of the crust start to turn dark golden brown and mac and cheese is warmed through.

Notes

  • Transfer leftovers to an airtight container or a plastic zip top bag. If you have to stack slices, then make sure to put parchment paper between the layers so that they don't stick together.
  • FRIDGE: Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 4 days.
  • FREEZER: Wrap each slice in plastic wrap or aluminum foil and then place into a freezer bag. Freeze for up to 2 months. Thaw before reheating.
